Career Information
Strong communication skills are prerequisites to positions in virtually any professional area. The following areas are traditional avenues for communication majors: Public relations, marketing, sales, advertising, radio and television, management in organizational settings, personnel, and civil and social agencies. However, many new job categories are being created in other areas such as the information technology and health industries that require a strong communication background. Many communication majors are also finding exciting positions in the public sector in government and politics.
